Songs for the ones who feel everything

Listen & Watch

A window into what I create

Artist Statement

I grew up chasing classical pieces like Recuerdos de la Alhambra and then fell headlong into electric guitar, bands, and the strange magic of early recording. Somewhere between Austin sessions and Jazz studies at Baylor, I realized I wasn’t just “playing guitar” anymore—I was trying to score the feeling of being human.

Now I write and perform music for people who feel everything a little too much. The ones who’ve served until they’re empty, loved until it hurts, and still show up again anyway.

Glimpses

Live, in the studio, and in between.

Work With Me

Outside of my own music, I love helping other people make theirs.

Session and Live Work

Guitar, bass, and keys for worship, shows, and studio projects. Comfortable with click, tracks, and MD-led environments.

Gear, Tracks & MIDI

Pedalboards, FM9/HX/Kemper, MIDI routing, and tracks/DAW setups that don’t melt down mid-set.

Lessons & Mentoring

Guitar, bass, piano, and theory for players who want to grow in confidence and musicality—on stage, in church, or just for themselves.

What Others Say & How to Reach Me

Talented, humble, reliable, and focused. That’s Josh. And it’s why he’s the first number I call when I need a musician.

My experience with Rooted Music has been phenomenal! Josh met me right where I was as a player and helped me to understand so much more of how I was playing and, more importantly, how to take my playing to the next level! With patience, encouragement, and no judgement or pressure, he has helped me in ways I never would have thought of on my own.
